This conversation about science is like watching Fox News.

Does science scare you guys?

@Red you quoted me with things I never said and 'synced' them out of sync to appear to rewrite the time line of the conversation and yeah, I got the license. You do know that is a propaganda method that Fox News uses everyday. Did they publish a style guide?

Why are you assailing me? Is this an indirect way of attacking the sociology or the science of the work?

So I will say it as s i m p l e as possible.

When large groups believe in no science at all and fall back on folk methods or have a diminished idea of the proper application of science it can effect the network at large. They make bad decisions based on folk tales and locale.

So when people leave their homes and go to work they take their insular folk logic and locale with them and now they are applying those values at large. Now at many points across the network folk tales now supplant what is science, affecting the network in many different
ways.

Science does not hurt. Or is it that folk models hit to close to home?

Haven't read it all yet (will probably print it off and read the rest next time I'm on public transport), but the section describing the what people have associated the word hacker with are quite saddening. Not a single positive instance given.
I answer rhetorical questions for my own enjoyment.
