Canadian Banking Report (JJ Luna)

Postby AndrewB » 08/17/06, 7:05 am

Mr Luna has a new special report on opening a private "offshore" banking account in Canada. for just under $20USD if anyone's concerned with bank privacy these days. I just bought/downloaded it myself this evening and it's something potentially quite useful. Despite Canada being as socialist as it is, their federal and provincial banking laws are still better than in this country nowdays (pretty sad considering that the US used to be the "Switzerland of the West" a century ago and earlier).

Also, I would check out the free privacy/asset protection tips at KeepYourAssets.net. The "Asset Protection Crash Course" has some good suggestions most people can easily implement, and we also offer private banking solutions in the US and Belize that may tickle your fancy, especially if you're a professional such as a doctor, real estate agent, etc.

Also, the new report about self defense for women, entitled "Dirty Tricks for Savvy Chicks" might be good, considering the rest of his material that I've read was. If nothing else, it could be humorous and useful.

In addition, KeepYourAssets.net offers some *very* affordable private banking options based in Belize in Central America. Click on my signature link and then check out the "Crash Course" information on privacy and asset protection. Specifically, the "Offshore Bank Account" and "Private Bank Account" pages discuss this topic, but the course page and FAQ will give you some very good information and tips about what privacy issues are out there and what you can do to protect yourself.

Sorry if there was a lack of context. I just recently took some stept to cover my own butt, so I figured others would likely benefit as well. It's really quite simple and inexpensive, considering what the consequenses of NOT doing it could be.

Keep Your Assets' home page links to a useful collection of privacy related scenarios, and what one can do to prevent such problems. Some are legal related, but others are computer/communications related, and some are just regular common sense. (Yes, I'm an affiliate, but yes, I also used the company's products long before the program existed, and that's why I got involved.)

For example, I utilize an "invisible" New Mexico LLC not tied to my personal info for business related activities (banking, accounts with various third party service providers, etc.). Now, lets say I'm doing an IT contract job, as many of you including myself do. Let's say that as a result of some kind of miscommunication or malicious intent on the behalf of the buyer of my services, he or she decides to sue me for everything I potentially have for no good reason. This will ultimately fail, however, because New Mexico's LLC laws dictate that I am not personally liable for the actions or assets of "the company". Pressing this lawsuit would be more expensive than it's worth for all but the most malicious and vengeful people.

For extra protection, I might have another separate invisible NM LLC which "owns" my personal assets (banking accounts, my car, my house, etc.) and/or insurance/medical policies, etc. In this case,

A. Suing LLC 1 is quite expensive, and even if the litigant was successful,
B. Your other personal assets are separately owned by the other LLC(s). Since there's no name attached, there's no effective way to figure out which of the hundreds of thousands of LLCs out there is "yours".

Currently, I have one invisible LLC that I have for business stuff, and a private financial account, though most of my savings is in the local Credit Union for the time being, as I don't have enough in my account to be worried at this time from a litigation standpoint. As a political activist and student, however, my fears stem not from sleazy lawyers but rather from a government that's all too eager to steal and exploit my innocent and benign financial habbits for the "War on Terrorism" (or the excuse du jure).

I do have a couple of private e-metals accounts with a few hundred $ worth of funds for emergencies. eGold/eBullion and eLiberty Dollars are my preferences. Not only are they much more private than the typical Fed Res affiliated fractional-reserve bank, but their funds don't inflate and are actually becoming *more* valuable these days.

To recap, my privacy issues stem from remote but real political "punishment", and also from the risks associated with operating my own business.

What are your primary concerns? What questions do you have? I do this kind of thing both professionally and as a constructive hobby, so I should be able to answer them, or at least put you in touch with those who do.
