I am using the watch() method of the Object object to run a function when a variable is set. This isn't working in Internet Explorer. Does anybody have any ideas?

This is JavaScript/JScript/ECMAScript.

However, is there an alternative for IE; I have not found one yet. I have a calendar popup to fill in a date text field. The onchange event attribute doesn't work because the user isn't changing the field (it's readonly to them). Placing my function after the call to popup the calendar doesn't work because that call just popups the calendar, it doesn't wait until a date has been picked. This watch method is the only thing I have found that works.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defau ... odstoc.asp
the long ass URL is the current JScript function list
I have noticed through short term research that some primitive equivlents were available but they were hit and miss

Thanks Sod, I wrote to the developer of the calendar popup and he gave me a tweak to call a function after the value is returned to the input field.
