Ever been asked to guess a number between 1 and 100?

There is a correct way preform this and many other common problems in both life and programming and this tutorial will guide you through them. It's written in Pseudocode so even if you have never programed before, as long as you can get past some of the big words, the rest should be pretty straight foward.

Another good one from the AI depo.

OK but I have to correct myself, I was only half way through when I posted the article link and crap description, it doesn't actually contain any info about binary search algorithms (which I incorrectly suggested it would in the question "Ever been asked to guess a number between 1 and 100?")

The article is really good, piss to understand and can defiantly be read by non-programmers.

One thing I didn't understand though was the term "A* pathfinding algorithm" what is "A*" or what does it stand for? SOD... Anybody?
