Been thinking about buying a new Samsung LCD 17 inch monitor with PIP and was wondering if anyone else has this or a similar product with pros and cons.

I have a gateway 15" LCD (made by view sonic i think), that works rather well. but i don't think its compairable to the one your looking at.

LCD's are sweet and great in cramped area's but, in my case anyway, I went for viewable area. the difference between my 15" lcd and the 21" monitor is just too great to stop using the monitor. but with a 17"+ lcd i think it would be less of an issue
If you would like a "cheap" 15" lcd check CompGeeks, they got some decent ones but most are used.

I dont' think i helped any did i

The MAG lcd at about $600 for a 17 inch is very pleasant to look at.

The MAG 17" is not only good to look at (quality of image) but is a widescreen format rather then a box format. It also has a dark exterior (graphite) and so your focus of attention is kept on the monitor screen rather than the pastic on the outside. Definetly my choice for an lcd monitor.

Costco has a good 17" LCD by Sys International for $499.99. Has a slick gray and blue chrome display too. Not top of the line or anything, but not bad for that price!

Check resources for failure rates in the LCD monitor you want

You can check the Costco site, though they had a different one posted there. When i got to the store they had they 17" Sys instead which i liked better. Maybe different depending on location???

Damn, those are beautiful; I wonder if they come into screen comparison of an Apple LCD?
