I found this interesting little modified VIA chipset driver that changes the chipset registers for max memory bandwidth. Unfortunately, mine wasnt one of the (few) supported chipsets so it crashed the system playing quake. i dont have a link but i can e-mail it to bob or something if anyone wants it.

I have an Athlon T-Bird w/ a MSI MS-6330 motherboard and it didnt do anything amazing (maybe like .02% increase at most) for me, but if you have one of the designated chipsets (there are only 5), its supposed to do wonders.
