Scrollbars on Left of IE -- Interesting Effect

Hack your OS, customize your GUI, announce great software, and configure, configure, configure...

Here's an interesting effect--take a look at this page:

http://www.nokhbah4arabs.net/vb/index.php?s=

Somehow he's managed to put the scroll bar on the left side of IE. Looks like he's using javascript to do it, but I can't replicate the effect cutting and pasting what seems to be his script. Course, I'm not much of a javascripter....

That's simple.

<HTML DIR="RTL" ..........

Text direction (DIR) equals Right-to-Left (RTL) - it's for backwards languages. Mozilla must be lacking, it's a recommendation of HTML 4.01 by the W3C (<a href="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/dirlang.html" target="_blank">for more info</a>).

You can even set the direction in your style sheet as well. Even cooler, you can use DIV's tags to overcome the backwards text and keep the scrollbar on the left.

- Backwards languages... well I'll let someone else take that one.

- Mozilla or rater Netscrape is always lacking, Netscrape 6 probably supports it though.

- Does the scrolling marquee appear at the top of the page appear for anybody. It seems that when the direction of the content is rtl and the direction of the marquee is also right, then it never appears. But's it's probably just a bug in my browser, can any1 else using IE see it????

- Finally you might wanna put the content in a "Paragraph" tag with the "ltr" driection, instead of a div as Netscrape usally has problems with displaying content in a div tag.
