The HTML5 thing has started...

The crap train from html5 and straight to you.

This new, hip, spec wants you to use invisible divs
to replace clear:both WTF????

http://sickdesigner.com/resources/HTML5 ... index.html

"In between these lists there is an invisible div with a class of separator. This is another reusable class. The reason for it's existence is the, sometimes, poor cross browser-support for clear: both."

hmmm yeah

I have never had a an issue with it Red.

What they are trying to do is limit the scope of HTML by calling elements 'header' "footer' etc. They believe that problem lies in the DOM but it isn't.

The real issue is the ability to use the DOM improperly and still render a result.

No other language does this. Why do we condone
invalid markup? We all learn a written language
that is far more complex than markup. So why is it
we make a butt load of excuses why bad markup has to exist. I bet I could teach 3rd graders correct markup!

Kids catch on to programming at that age very quickly.

Hence the slang "throwing code"

That analogy for some is dead on.

But to me programming is a practice not a vocation.

Our problem is that we try to teach programming
to ppl who have developed sense of ideology. We need to teach children code when they begin to spell
and learn math.

More obvious nonsense

http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/03/apple-html5/

This is WHY you have ppl with depth and engineering experience write specs AND develop working models.

hahahahaha that's great!

I'd already seen the HTML 5 page earlier and was pissed off about it. Then I saw the article later but I didn't have a look at who was posting the article. That's hilarious! I love to see those two giving each other black eyes because they both deserve it.

Very nice info graphic of HTML5 features as usual
IE isn't releasing anything that delivers docs as dynamic at the client.
