Change shell at boot

Postby lordzoster » 09/14/08, 1:17 pm

hallo is there any way to change the shell at boot: i made a small program that recognize if keyboard and mouse are present, and i would like to launch a different shell according if they are attached or not.
The "shell swapping" should happen before user logon (elsewhere it would require a reboot/disconnection before being applied)

The program 'Mojopac' will certainly replace your shell and let you switch back and forth between your regular shell and the Mojopac shell on the fly. If it is possible for you to plug in a USB device whenever you want to run the alternate shell, then this will work. I would assume that u could write a script to make it run after detecting your hardware. . It only runs from a USB device however, but seems very promising. Trialware however.
