Removing the Favourites menu from Windows Explorer in XP

Ok, I've downloaded a lot of stuff, but so far, NONE of it seems to do this simple request I have.

In 98-2000, you could turn of the Favourites menu in Windows Explorer (along with some other crap) by turning off the "Shell Enhancements" in TweakUI 1.33. For some reason, MS removed this option for the "XP" version of Tweak UI. The only option that comes close is under the "Group Policy Editor", and is called "Turn on Classic Shell". This does indeed turn off the Favourites menu in Windows Explorer, but it also removes the Desktop tab in Display Properties for no reason. There is also another option under the "Internet Explorer settings" in GPedit, but this turns off the Favourites menu in IE as well.

Does anyone know of a program that will simply turn off the Favourites menu in W.E. with no ill-effect?
