Geany...nice editor

Post by JohnT » 08/28/07, 7:56 am

Basic features of Geany

* syntax highlighting
* code folding
* code completion
* auto completion of often used constructs like if, for and while
* auto completion of XML and HTML tags
* call tips
* many supported filetypes like C, Java, PHP, HTML, Python, Perl, Pascal (full list)
* symbol lists

Geany is known to run under Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, MacOS X, AIX v5.3, Solaris Express and Windows. More generally, it should run on every platform, which is supported by the GTK libraries. Only the Windows port of Geany is missing some features.

This one can be very useful for some...I urge everyone to try it.....not too familiar with the windows port though.

Windows port works nicely. We have been using Text Edit
but are going to give this a go for 30 days at work.
It is better to be here than there - SOD
