mega monitor issue in Win2K - SUPERSIZE ME

Post by kenray » 01/29/07, 4:31 pm

my pal gave me her old flatscreen monitor, which is enormous (a samsung from last year).

I would like to set the screen size at 1280x1024, but in the settings dialog, i only get options up to 1024x768...

anyone know how i can get more options?

thanks!

a lot of the flat screens can't handle higher resolutions--look up the specs...

When you say flat screen are you speaking of CRT flat screen process or an LCD flat screen.

LCD flat screens are discrete when it comes to resolution and refresh rate. They actually prefer one resolution and refresh rate. Mine, a Sony 17inch is 1280x1024 @ 60hz.
Yeah the 60hz sounds slow but given the technology is
less relevant to performance than in a CRT.
