Gee, I feel the same about the web...

Bob, you wondered what i meant a while back when I compared early medicine to the current web.

That wiki piece says it all. Who knew just 150 years ago
ago that we were doing autopsies never washing our hands and then delivering babies and that sanitation
was so primitive. He was jailed for washing his hands.

Despite having so much technology our use of this science is primitive at best. But what can you expect?
The web is only 20 (or so) years old.

We have a long way to go. After all, how long did it take "modern medicine" before they learned to wash their hands?

Meanwhile I'll be over here, polishing my balls 8)

No....look at the topic views. No one wants to post anymore, for obvious reasons.

Don't spam here dude.

@John It is not just about the software or the tweaks man. To me, and I am wrong from time to time  it is how we use and apply the network and the content within.

For the internet to progress, information and how we use it must progress. Not just software but how we think of our own informatic footprint. To allow ourselves to be educated, enlightened, and expanded by a world of thought. Not to hide behind a certain prejudice. I learned that from Bob.

PR5? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 400AAsacb9 ???

If you're talking about ShellCity then nods although I wasn't really using it personally since moving to Linux.

Daily Rotation on the other hand I visit probably 10 times a day. Love it and can't get enough! I actually can't stand digg, reddit or google reader and never did like them. Daily Rotation is like the vim of news readers. =D "HERE'S YOUR NEWS! BAM! YOU FINISHED? GOOD! GO AWAY!". Lol, that' should be the tag line =D

Yeah SC's PR is 5, which is pretty valuable these days. If there was a weekly update and an AdSense ad on it i bet it could pull in a nice wad of cash. And the PR is why people come to spam links. If they can get some PR5 links they will increase their PR as well.

I don't use the site any more either, was just cleaning out my book marks when i saw SC, if there where updates though i would check back every couple days.

I looked at DR the other day. Duno just doesn't suit me any more. I'll play with my settings on it again sometime see if i can make it work for me.

I see your point about SC, Red.... What do you think adsense would pull in in a month on SC?

well i'll tell you what one of mine made.

cashonesolutions.com was getting about 1k uniques a week. With a CTR of 9% and pretty good keywords. I was getting about 5-10 a day.

It highly depends on the demographics and keywords. you find a high value keyword such as Gold then you can get 3 or 4 dollars per click from usa visitors. the same click from china might only give you 10cents. thats just a real general example.

naboo.org was getting about 500 uniques a week with cummy keywords and was getting about 10cents a day.

I would guestimate $100-300 for SC with no updates MUCH more for DR.

I had to remove AdSense from mine because some dick kept clicking my ads, got banned once for it, got reactivated and saw it was happening again so I just took them off.

I've been getting about 3 times your high number from DR with just donations. Handling things myself....

That might work on SC too.

You've made me sit up and think. A weekly update would be very easy....
