Why do they insist on labeling things with fancy a name
when all they are doing in general is practicing well formed markup.

I am referring to 'progressive enhancement' which is actually testing to see (at some level) if your work is supported by element or by agent string. If not (and here is another fancy term) graceful degradation which is actually called fallback.

Progressive enhancement also says that if you break up your files e.g. separating HTML from CSS or Js pages will load faster. No shit, computers like small clusters of data as opposed to one big chunk. Programmers have known this for years. Why does the concept need a fancy name?

I suppose I could carry a Prada man purse, but my tri fold wallet does the same job. Save the fashion for the runway.

Beware of men in white vans at the freeway off ramps selling discount America. It is defective,
contains lead, and is not made here.
