Well lets look at the three examples of bloated designs: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html http://www.itv.com/ I find it hard to imagine that these are primarily the work of designers. The designers I know tend to favour lots of white space and simplicity... such ...

I suspect I'm about 50/50, but yeah it would be interesting to see/take the test they are talking about.

Yeah I attended a small talk given by the ceo of that isp (their main hub is in Perth) just recently and accidentally hogged most of the question time asking questions about that case. One interesting point, he said he'd be happy to hand over customer details for the media companies to go after peop...

http://html5test.com/ http://gigaom.com/collaboration/internet-explorer-9-released-but-should-you-care/ See how far behind they are on HTML5 support. I would be able to do a lot more stuff on sites I develop if people didn't use IE. They are doing better than before on some other things, but that's ...

dont' use XP you'll loose some features such as TRIM support for the SSD. after you get through some of the annoyances (UAC and such) you will like windows 7 well enough. Unless you plan on switching to a newer revision of Linux don't switch. Agreed. If you're going to go for light weight then you ...

I think a lot more of the credit needs to be given to politifact.com for this as he plans on using their private api which they are making available to him. Also, I didn't finish reading the article after I found out how he was doing it, but it seems like this is limited to American politics right?

The TV set in our house has only ever been used to play xbox and I use the free newspaper we get sent when I shave my beard so that the clippings don't go all over the sink. I do listen to the radio but only for entertainment. Daily rotation has far more influence over my life than all three of thes...

96% on Rotten Tomatoes 97% now and 100% if you select "top critics" http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hugo/ Ok, well maybe I can look past the blatant 3D stuff then. But it disturbs me a great deal when a director has to use such cheap tricks. Ok well reading those reviews on rotten tomatoes have con...

It's hard for me to get past the blatent "this was done because we are in 3D" scenes, which are even scattered all though the 2D trailer:

When a director resorts to this gain a bigger audience, I lose respect for them.

Customers do not have to participate in the trial - but they will have to turn off their phones to make sure they aren't involved, reported CNN. Signs around the malls are already warning people about the system, I'm shocked they are even putting these signs up. I personally don't see anything more...

I saw a few sweet external drives in the store the other day that use USB 3. Most devices perhaps don't need that speed, but for hard drives I imagine it would be fantastic.
